Whatever the extent of your home renovation, Marcis can provide all the services required to transform your home into a new home with finishes and upgrades that meet your needs.
Second Floor Fast
With many additions, we can incorporate the technique of pre-fabrication, in which a variety of panelized sections may be built prior to on-site construction. This can greatly cut down on the time required to assemble and erect materials on site, in some cases reducing work by up to several weeks. In addition, the shop environment in which pre-fabricated materials are manufactured works to minimize weather related issues and job site inconsistencies.

Exteriors
With our vast array of knowledge and experience, we can offer a variety of products and services to undertake any exterior projects. From siding and windows, to decks and patios, we use a wide range of products including wood, vinyls, composites and cement based products.
Kitchen & Baths
Working with designers, cabinet craftsmen and stone masons, we can design and build your dream kitchen or bathroom. All cabinetry is build using Blum European hardware, pre-finished birch plywood for the cases and dovetail drawers, as well as a variety of species and finishes for the doors and drawer fronts.
Additional Services
We offer various construction related services including truss manufacturing, framing and form work.

Six-month renovation transforms Southridge home
By Roxanne Hooper
A recently transformed Langley home is being opened to the public this weekend, along with 12 other renovated houses scattered between North Vancouver and Surrey.

Greater Vancouver Home Builders’ Association (GVHBA) is holding its 14th annual parade of renovated homes this Sunday, June 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Featured on the tour, is a 35-year-old home on Southridge Crescent in Langley that was purchased last August by a retired couple set on renovating. In fact, they never even moved in until all the work was done.

Instead, they approached Shell Busey’s HomeSmart Renovations and gave project consultant Martin Francis and designer Debbie Esau full rein to redesign their new home.

“It was a 1972 model. It was time. It was dated,” Francis said. “The kitchen was small and dingy. Back then, they compartmentalized everything.”

Situated on an acre, this older home underwent extensive renovations from changing the roofline and expanding the floor space to completely redesigning much of the interior.

Work began at the end of September and wrapped up in March, at which point the new homeowners finally moved in – overjoyed by the work and claiming it was more than they ever expected or hoped.

The makeover saw upwards of 30 contractors and sub-trades on site for the transformation from an out-of-date 3,000-square-foot house into a plush, open and inviting, 4,100-square-foot sanctuary.

“This would be an extreme make over.” Francis said.

The home now features an open-concept living space, or what Francis calls a grand room that includes the living room, dining room and kitchen together and links to an adjoining sunroom and TV room.

Other features include a new stairway that was added leading up to the spacious dining room and kitchen. A kitchen island, with its black distressed finish, has a raised eating bar in granite. And clear alder floor-to-ceiling cabinetry finished in a cappuccino stain.

In the new garden room, natural light pours in, making it perfect for entertaining or a quiet retreat.

The master suite and en-suite boast a two-person soaker tub, and large clear glass walled shower.

This local renovated home, along with the others on the tour showcase leading-edge design, advanced construction techniques and innovative building products.

“Professional renovators, many of them award winners, will be on site to discuss their craftsmanship and offer expert advice. Renovation projects range from $75,000 to more than $700,000, offering people who view the homes an abundance of ideas they can incorporate into their own renovations,” said GVHBA renovation council chair Alvin Epp.

B.C. homeowners are expected to spend more than $6 billion improving their homes this year. The Lower Mainland will account for 65 per cent of this renovation activity.

Dear Martin,

Marg and I would like to express our appreciation and thanks to you and all the people involved in the construction of our solarium at 4691 Woodview Place, West Vancouver.
You are to be congratulated on your choice of personnel. Everybody who contributed did so in an expert and knowledgeable manner, performing their jobs diligently and well. After completing the day's activities, they were always careful to tidy the site which helped to make the whole process more tolerable for us.
During the project, there were several challenges and due to your ingenuity and resourcefulness Martin, solutions were forthcoming and construction resumed with very little delay.
We are finished now and the end result is something to behold. My wife and I are delighted. We look forward to many years of pleasure in using our newly acquired living space.
Please accept our thanks and pass on our sentiments to your crew. Some friendships are formed in these situations. Marg and I feel this was the case with you and your lads.
We feel confident in recommending you to friends and intend to call on you for any future renovations we may have done.
Thank you one and all.
Sincerely,
Margaret & Bill Chalmers
